My ex-company Manugistics released its quarterly earnings yesterday. Things aren't going well. From the Washington Post:
Manugistics Group Inc. of Rockville yesterday reported a $111 million loss on a 21 percent drop in revenue last quarter, due in large part to a decline in the value of companies it bought during the past three years.I feel bad for the people that are left behind there. For some of them, anyway.
The sad thing is that people like Greg Owens, the CEO, will walk away from Manu with millions of dollars no matter what happens. No matter that his poor business decisions, like buying those companies, have run the company into the ground.

Time to welcome my brother-in-law, Ray Flanagan, to the world of blogging. Does this mean I can't show pictures of your cute kids on my blog anymore?
Day 27 of my exile from productive work. Went to see a recruiter today. They said my resume looks good. We'll see. One guy there said I could get a job tomorrow if my clearance wasn't seven years out of date. I didn't have a response.

Still playing with the colors. I'm not sure how to get this interface to allow responses. You can always email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Here's another website I try not to miss: Best of the Web.

Here are three weblogs that I visit pretty much every day:
Emma and Connor (my niece and nephew) at Bertucci's in DC on Saturday. Very very cute.
My brother Sean sent along this picture of the 10,943 reasons that the French should support us and not try to stab us in the back at any opportunity.
Welcome to my weblog or "blog." I'll be posting interesting things here. Or at least items that are interesting to me!
